ARTIST STATEMENT
Pat Payne
I love steel, its strength, immediacy, even its tendency to fight back before yielding to form. Its structural limits seem boundless, with steel and direct sculpting, the sculptors imprint, and the immediacy of method is not changed in processing. I even change bronze sculpture in the wax stage to capture more immediacy. Currently I am mixing bronze and powder coated steel utilizing the best of both metals
I have had the pleasure of creating one of a kind sculpture for the public and private sectors for over 25 years. The majority of my sculpture is suitable for indoor outdoor placement. Prices range from $3,000. to $30,000.
