Susan F. Lobue

Susan graduated from the University of Southern California with a major in art. She, also, received her teaching credentials from USC. She taught art for several years in the Torrance school district in California.

Susan was one of the designers for California Originals, a pottery manufacturer. She has many of her own original lines of stoneware and pottery. Many of her designs are being sold on the internet as collectables.

In 1982, Susan opened Equus Gallery and Studio. She views her jewelry designs as three – dimensional works of art. She is very much influenced by nature. Her designs are a reflection of her love of nature and all its beauty. She feels that jewelry is a wonderful way to express ones individuality and each person’s uniqueness. The jewelry that she creates will be their heirlooms of tomorrow.

Susan works in the lost wax style for most of her designs. She will also do fabrication when the design calls for that style. She loves to work with pearls and colored stones because they are so unique and different. She can incorporate them in a one of a kind design.
