My wife asked me to photograph her favorite lily many years ago and that's how it all began.

I am an award winning photographer ( thanks to my wife) from southern Maine.
My work has appeared on the cover of Maine Tour Magazine, in Popular Photography and Imaging Magazine along with several other national and local publications. In 2002, I was the only photographer whose work was accepted for display at the Portland Maine Flower Show art exhibition and has been exhibited in several juried art shows and is currently on display in a Maine gallery.

Though I enjoy photographing most any subject, my true passion is in floral photography.

I consistently strive to keep my work fresh, new and exciting. I do so by employing a variety of photographic techniques. I'm particularly fond of using multiple exposure, selective focus and intentional camera movement which produce impressionistic or abstract effects. Freezing flowers is another favorite.

Additionally, I also delve into the "digital darkroom" in order to create what I like to call my "Photo Paintings" - photos digitally transformed to resemble painted works of art. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do in creating them!!
