Inspired by T. S. Eliot's "Sweeney Erect." "Dorsal Torso" makes the connection between "salt of the earth" people and the divine. A theme that permeates through out Eliot's work.

This glass object pushes the limitations of sand-casting, in thickness and size. Requiring five large ladels of molten glass, the piece weighs over one hundred pounds.
